Today I wanted to share my main sources of inspiration. I’m a firm believer that there are no original ideas. As humans, we’re all just sharing information that has been shared over and over in the past, but we’re putting our own spin on it and putting it into our own words. The same is true for most of what you read on this blog–I didn’t come up with the ideas, but they are inspired by ideas shared by others, and I then try to put them into my own words or explain them in my own way.
The two women pictured above have helped me do a complete 180 in my life, so I want to tell you about them.
The first woman is Jody Moore. She is a life coach that has a podcast called Bold New Mom. She also has a website by the same name, and a paid coaching group called the Be Bold community. I found Jody by listening to an episode of her podcast where she interviewed someone I had been following for a while (Dr. Jennifer Finlayson-Fife, a Mormon sex therapist). I liked her style and started listening to her podcast. It was like my whole world opened up. She teaches about how our thoughts are what bring about our results and how we can really watch our thinking and change it in order to change our life. I had heard this idea before, but the way that Jody explained and phrased things just really resonated with me. I LOVE her. I am a part of her coaching group, and it’s been life-changing. As I continued to listen to her podcast, I noticed she would often mention HER coach and mentor, Brooke Castillo, which brings me to the other woman pictured above.
As I said, her name is Brooke. She trained Jody as a life coach and is a life coach herself. She ALSO has a podcast (are you seeing a trend here? Podcasts are amazing, and you need to start listening to them. Like, yesterday.) and it’s called The Life Coach School Podcast. Listening to Brooke’s podcast was like Jody’s on steroids. Brooke is an amazing teacher and will make you think and re-examine EVERYTHING in your life. I love her. She also (as her website/podcast name implies) runs a school where she trains people to become life coaches. It is my full intention to someday go through her program. She offers incredible value, and so it’s also quite an investment, so I’m currently saving up, but I can’t wait. The principles and methods Brooke teaches are SO true, and I feel so lucky to have found her. Through her I’ve found a profession that totally lines up with some of my natural talents, as well as one that pushes me to become a better version of myself, which I love.
I have had too many influences to count, since I’ve been deep into the personal development literature since 2013. Here’s a list of some other books and podcasts that have inspired me over the years. (I am not getting paid for any of these links, they’re 100% recommended by me based on my experience with them and my opinion.)

So, if you’re curious where I get my ideas, now you know. I want to encourage you to get out there and share your thoughts and feelings with the world, even if you feel like they’re not original. They’ll be original because you’ll figure out a way to say them in your own words, and the way you say them will resonate with people that are like you, and you will be the one to inspire them.
I hope I inspire you with my content, and I also hope you check out the content that’s inspired me. Happy Friday, guys!!
